Bio

Graduated in law (JD) from the University of Colima; Master of Laws (LLM) in Intellectual Property from the University of The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and doctorate (PhD) from Interinstitutional PhD in Law program at ANUIES. Has been member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), Level I and invited lecturer at World Intellectual Property Organization Academy (WIPO); Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst the (German Academic Exchange Agency) alumni for research stay at the Max Planck Institute für geistiges Eigentum, Wettbewerbs und Steuerrecht (Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax), based in Munich, Germany; and grant receipient from Banco Santander Foundation for a post-doctoral research stay at the University of Alicante, Spain, in what serves as professor at the Magister Lvcentinvs since 2012. At the University of Colima, besides been a career lecturer-researcher, has served as Law School Academic Coordinator; Director at the Intellectual Property Program and Director of the Institute for Legal Research. Author of "intellectual property law" published in 2010 by Oxford Publishing and “Law and technology transfer” published in 2017 by Tirant Lo Blanch; co-author of more than 10 other books; as well of several papers published both nationally and internationally. He is currently certified Arbitror on Copyright authorized by INDAUTOR and member of the Board at Red OTT México, A.C. (Red OTT®). Founding Partner and Member of the Board of several Startups and President of Electronic and Information and Communications Technology Industry Association (AIETIC). He has over 15 years of experience providing both consulting and training for micro, small and medium enterprises. He is currently the General Director of Liaison at the University of Colima.
